The beach settlement of Himatangi is located 7km from S Hwy 1, with a 30 minute drive to Palmerston North. This beach is popular for whitebaiting (in season), surfing and swimming. Just 45 sites in this popular camp, which is sought after by weekenders and hoilidaymakers alike. The camp has a tidy appearance and plentiful modern well appointed facilities, Al freco dining and BBQ adjacent to the kitchen. Entertainment is provided in the summer holidays, with tennis and golf for Mums and Dads. The camp has a TV room with a library; a pool table and table tennis table are available in summer under a marquee. The local store and the beach are close by.
